Interpreting a ‘big empty’. Wrap up a space to avoid vanishing points to infinity. Create collective break areas in the open space, ‘natural’ stops in a place of exchanges.
Red cyclopean panels surround the whole area as a urban backdrop and they identify the living space, thus marginalizing the patchy suburban context.
Three circular spaces move like worm screws in a polyhedric turning game. They are structured in a series of mazes, where people can walk with their own pace and tempo.
The rhythmic disposal of large vases for tall woody plants, acts like a guide towards the center of each space and becomes a sign, a vertical reference, an oasis into the desert of overbuilded exhibition areas.
